Presbyterian Youth Workers’ Association

How do we talk with young people about sexuality in ways that are honest, sacred, and grounded in faith?

Brave Conversations offers a path forward—equipping youth workers and faith communities to engage one of the most important and often avoided topics in ministry.

Developed by a diverse team of youth workers and scholars through the Presbyterian Youth Workers' Association (PYWA), this 4–6 week (or retreat-based) curriculum helps young people understand sexuality as a sacred part of God's creation. It includes facilitator and parent guides, theological background videos, and session trainings—everything leaders need to support informed, faithful conversations about sexual health and relationships.

PYWA has been connecting, upholding, and inspiring youth workers since 2005. Through advocacy, networking, and professional development—including webinars, book clubs, Bible studies, and expert-led conversations—PYWA equips leaders to share God's love, hope, grace, and justice with the next generation.

Brave Conversations is a reminder that young people deserve more than silence. They deserve communities of faith that are willing to show up with honesty, compassion, and courage.
