Brave Conversations: Values Lesson

$0.00

A scripture-grounded lesson that invites youth and parents to name, claim, and share the values that shape their relationships and faith.

What would it look like if families and youth groups had the courage to talk honestly about values, relationships, and sexuality — together?

Brave Conversations: Values Lesson is a ready-to-lead session designed for youth and parents to explore side by side. Grounded in Psalm 139 — "I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made" — this lesson invites participants to build a group covenant, identify their core values through interactive games and discussion, and discover how faith, family, and culture shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. From icebreakers and skits to a values-matching card activity and a "Taylor Swift or Bible Verse" game, the session creates space where brave, honest conversation can happen naturally.

Created by the Presbyterian Youth Workers Association (PYWA), this resource is part of the broader Brave Conversations curriculum developed in collaboration with the Missing Voices Project at Flagler College's Center for Religion and Culture, funded by the Lilly Endowment Inc.
